Team 5016 reach Finals at Hudson Valley Regional!
A strong, consistent showing at the two-day event led to the team's success.

The Blue Devils exceeded expectations this weekend after a series of wins propelled them up the rankings and into the playoffs. It was a team effort throughout. A combination of consistent scoring, smart driving and new automation techniques gave the team a critical edge in its matches. Excellent support by the pit crew ensured the robot was always match-ready, and comprehensive presentations were given to judges covering the team’s outreach, saftey practices and engineering process.
Team 5016 was ranked 20th out of 49 teams at the end of qualifications and, after a heart-pounding selection process, were nominated by Alliance 2 to compete in the playoffs. Focusing on defense, the team outwitted other drivers to limit and delay scoring opportunities while their alliance members - Team 353 from Plainview/Old Bethpage and Team 5736 from Kings Park - leaned into their advanced scoring and driving techniques. The alliance won three matches to reach the finals; although they ultimately lost the best-of-3 format, the team was extremely proud to represent their school and bring home a trophy.
